Place Value Dice Game

Strengthen place value and probability skills

Author: The Learning Bug

sample gamePlayers learn how place value works and the relationship between places when building numbers.

Probability is also taught as children must decide the likelihood of a lower or higher number being rolled.

Play in small groups or with the entire class. Only player(s) with the highest number continue to the next round. Play several rounds until only one player remains. You can also play for a specified time or number of rounds.

  • Take turns rolling a 10-sided dice.
  • Every player chooses a place value box to write down the number.
  • The player(s) with the largest number wins the round.
